RESEARCH INTERESTS

Kristen has been a member of the Biostatistics Laboratory since 2002. Kristen’s research interests include participation in collaborative research across a variety of areas, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, and survey data analysis. Her major research projects include:

  • National Social life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP): Kristen is one of the statisticians on this longitudinal, population-based study of older US adults looking at the relationships between physical/mental health, cognitive function, social connectedness, sexuality, and sensory function with aging.
  • Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA)/ Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM): Kristen manages the Biostatistics Clinic which is supported by CTSA funds.
  • Long-term collaborations with investigators studying congenital toxoplasmosis, women’s mental health, impact of community resources on health, and the relationship between sleep and diabetes.
